My collaboration with the Zaidel lab deals with the effects on neurofeedback on cognition in general and on attention in particular, with a focus on hemispheric relations. Neurofeedback is a novel, and still controversial, method of changing cognitive and affective states by modifying the pattern of the subject's ongoing EEG. We are applying standard neurofeedback protocols to tasks that measure hemispheric specialization in language and attention as well as to associated channels of the corpus callosum. Our experimental populations include normal children and adults as well as children with ADHD. Back |
